Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia provides trade finance loan to Kainar-AKB under goods supply contract with Russian Federation

/KASE, May 16, 2017/ – Subsidiary Bank Sberbank of Russia (Almaty), whose bonds
are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE
with the following press release:

Sberbank provided a trade finance loan to the Kazakh battery maker Kainar-AKB
under an export contract for supply of products to the Russian Federation.
"Kainar-AKB is our long-standing reliable partner who actively develops its
business. Only last year the company's export rose more than twice – says Eldar
Tenizbaev, Deputy Chairman of Sberbank's Management Board. – We were glad to
suggest our client a new cooperation scheme – trade financing of an export
contract. The transaction is attractive for all participants, and the exporter
reassigning the payment risks to the bank extends the marketing geography.
Sberbank intends to continue promoting products Made in Kazakhstan".
SB Sberbank took over payment risks of revenues receipt by the client, confirming
the LC issued by one of Russia's bank, in favor of the exporter. In doing so,
these risks were reduced thanks to the insurance from Export insurance company
"KazakhExport" (subsidiary of NMH Baiterek). Also, as part of cooperation between
the bank and export insurance company an agreement was concluded allowing
provision of preferred financing to foreign buyers of the export products under
documentary LCs.
Kainar-AKB is a battery maker operating modern equipment according to international
standards. Main markets for the company are CIS countries and foreign markets:
Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Belarus, China, UAE and
Kazakhstan. Capacity – 3 million batteries a year.
Export insurance company "KazakhExport" is the sole specialized insurance
