Rustam Nabirov appointed as the managing director of Kazkommertsbank JCS

/IRBIS, December 12, 2011/ - The Board of Directors of JSC
"Kazkommertsbank" elected a new board member - Managing
Director Rustam Nabirov, who will oversee the risk management of
the bank, reports the press service of the bank.
As indicated, approval of a new member of the board of control will
be exercised by the bank in the manner and terms established by
law.
Rustam Nabirov, age 34, has a diploma of KazNU n/a Al-Farabi on
the specialty "international economic relations", as well as an MBA
from Emory University, USA. In 2001-2004 he worked as credit
analyst in UAB "DAB "ABN AMBRO Bank of Kazakhstan". His
career in the JSC "Kazkommertsbank" began in 2004 as chief of
the analysis of project finance department, and later he headed
various departments associated with lending to corporate
customers (2005 - 2010), and from 2010 served as director of the
department of risk management.
JSC "Kazkommertsbank" is one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan
and Central Asia. The bank's assets at September 30, 2011
amounted to KZT 2,673.8 billion.
The bank has subsidiaries operating in the field of pension
insurance, pension fund management assets, insurance and
brokerage services. The bank also has subsidiaries in the Russian
Federation, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Major participants of the bank are: JSC "Central Asian Investment
Company", Mr. Subkhanberdin N.S., JCS "Alnair Capital Holding",
"SWF "SK", European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Bank shares are listed on JSC "Kazakhstan Stock Exchange"
(KASE). Global Depository Receipts, the underlying asset of which
are shares of the bank (GDR) are listed on the London Stock
Exchange (LSE). Bank was the first among the CIS banks to
complete an IPO in the form of GDRs on the London Stock
Exchange in November 2006 for a total of $ 845 million.
