/IRBIS, July 1, 2011/ - On July 1, 2011 public debt of Kazakhstan,
issued in the form of government securities (GS), together with the
service (the sum of coupon payments) amounted at current prices
3,591.5 billion or equivalent to 24,557.0 million U.S. dollars on the
rate of 146.25 tenge per U.S. dollar. This was conclusion of IRBIS
specialists in the analysis of their own databases. In conducting this
analysis, the amount of future payments and MEUJKAM and MUIKAM
calculated taking into account the consumer price index, which was
recorded for the period May 2009 to June 2011.
From June 01 to June 30, 2011 total debt rose to 37.6 billion tenge
(1.1%) or in dollar terms - to $ 104.7 million (+0.4%). In May 2011,
total debt decreased by 112.4 billion (-3.1%) or in dollar terms - to $
738.4 million (-2.9%).

exchange rate of KZT to the dollar.
According to information available to the IRBIS, the volume of GS from
National Bank of Kazakhstan in June 2011 on the amounts of
placement was 454,448.4 million tenge (in May 2011 - 258,863.6
million tenge). If the issuer redeems the notes to the amount of
444,165.8 million tenge (May - 393,015.5 million tenge). Thus, the
June surplus net borrowing of National Bank on the government
securities market amounted to plus 10,282.6 million tenge. The
corresponding figure in May 2011 - minus 134,151.8 million tenge
("minus" sign in the exponent of balance means that the amount was
withdrawn from the budget of the issuer and has remained among
investors, "plus" - for that amount the issuer has taken longer than
repaid).
Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan has attracted over
the period 37,087.3 million tenge (in May 2011 - 42,065.0 million
tenge), but paid the par value of bonds and the coupon of 30,713.8
million tenge (in May - 34,060.3 million tenge). The June surplus net
borrowing in the Ministry of Finance is estimated at plus 6,373.6
million tenge (in May of 2011 - plus 8,004.7 million tenge).
In June 2011 the total net borrowing balance of Kazakh issuers of
GS was estimated by IRBIS as plus 16,656.2 mln. The
corresponding figure in May 2011 - minus 126,147.1 mln.
