Webinar "Pro IPO: what you need to know and how to participate"
On August 27, 2022 at 11:00 am, KASE held a webinar for beginners and existing investors “Pro IPO: what you need to know and how to participate” in the Kazakh language.
Speakers were:
• Yerkin Syzdykov, Head of KASE's Legal Unit.
Experience in the financial market since 2009. As a corporate lawyer, he provided legal support for various investment projects in financial institutions.
• Bagdat Sholakov , Chief Manager of the Department of Financial and Agency Business of Kazpost JSC.
He has been on the securities market since 2012, participated in the process of conducting public IPOs. Currently, he deals with issues of supporting transactions on the securities and currency markets of KASE.
• Daniyar Jangelov, Director of the branch of Freedom Finance JSC in Atyrau.
Extensive experience in analyzing economic processes in the country, as well as experience in speaking at various professional events and forums. He has been an investor since 2012.
• Aya Aldabergenova, Vice President of the Corporate Finance Department of First Heartland Jusan Invest JSC
He has more than 10 years of experience in the securities market. He has been involved in business valuation and corporate ratings, fund raising for issuers, private equity and financial advisory. He currently works in the Corporate Finance Department of Jusan Invest JSC.
The following topics were raised during the webinar:
< • What an IPO is and why it is carried out;
• How a company goes for an IPO and how the share price is determined during an IPO;
• How an investor can make money on an IPO.
Also, the participants got acquainted with the history of IPOs in Kazakhstan and foreign cases and will received step-by-step visual instructions on how to participate in IPOs through broker platforms.
