Online event "Inclusive Leadership: New Reality in Business" and ceremony of opening trading "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality"
On March 5, 2021, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, as part of joining the UN sustainable development initiatives and the annual trades opening ceremony Ring the Bell for Gender Equality, held an online event called "Inclusive Leadership: New Reality in Business" in association with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The global campaign Ring the Bell for Gender Equality is supposed to draw attention of the global community to issues of gender diversity and the expansion of the influence of women in politics, economy and business.
The trades opening ceremony Ring the Bell for Gender Equality is conducted by the Exchange for the 4th time as part of the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative, which KASE joined in 2015. Organizations such as UN Women, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Women and ETFs, and the World Federation of Exchanges have traditionally supported this campaign around the world. More than 100 exchanges worldwide are going to support the opening ceremony this year.
The event aims to highlight the key role that the corporate sector can play in promoting gender equality for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and raising awareness of the Women's Empowerment Principles - WEP), a part of which KASE has been since 2019.
Speakers of the online event talked about empowering women in business in Kazakhstan, inclusive leadership, new experience in corporate governance, etc.
