4th roundtable "Debt Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan"
The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange was a general partner of the 4th Roundtable "Debt Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan" held on March 12, 2020 in Almaty and organized by Cbonds-Congress.
Representatives of regulators, leading local and international banks, international rating agencies, professional participants of the securities market and others took part in the roundtable.
In a welcome speech to the roundtable participants, KASE Board Chairperson Alina Aldambergen noted the importance of the event: "We believe that for the Exchange and the domestic stock market such meetings aimed at building mutually beneficial cooperation are an important area for the development of the market as a whole," she emphasized.
The head of the Exchange also moderated the first session on infrastructure and regulation of Kazakhstan's securities market. It was discussed at the roundtable that today the operation of the debt market directly depends on the development of interstate relations, infrastructural changes, financial condition of actors, on the availability of competition, which is challenging given the state monopoly and control of the capital market, and on the development of not only financial literacy, but also financial culture. In this regard, the analysis of the dynamics and trends of the development of this segment, market trends and its structure, the introduction of new indicators, international and domestic borrowing practices were of special interest to the participants.
The second session was moderated by Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Natalya Khoroshevskaya. The most pressing and topical issues of Kazakhstan's bond market were discussed at the roundtable.
The roundtable "Debt Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan" is a unique communication platform for representatives of the financial community and the real sector of the economy.
