KASE Talks - Open Lectures (May)
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange launched KASE Talks open lecture series with participation of distinguished Kazakhstani financiers who have made significant contribution to the making of and development of the financial market of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Kadyrzhan Damitov, a distinguished economist and senior executive with extensive practical experience, was the guest of KASE Talks on May 23, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
Kadyrzhan Kabdoshevich Damitov held senior positions in a number of kazakhstan's largest banks and national companies of the SWF Samruk-Kazyna, and was deputy minister of economy and trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kadyrzhan Damitov was the chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan from 1998 to 1999, the advisor to the prime minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and headed the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange from 2009 to 2013. Currently, he is a member of KASE Board of Directors as an independent director. He was awarded the Eren Yebegi (Heroic Achievements) medal and the Parasat order.
The purpose of KASE Talks is to raise awareness of the broad public audience on the conditions in which the financial market of the country has emerged and main factors that affected its development.
The objective of KASE Talks is to promote the financial market of Kazakhstan further and to provide information on the Exchange’s activities and the stock market as a whole.
