On February 15, 2017, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) held an award ceremony: the most distinguished members of KASE, the listed companies, who showed aspiration for information disclosure and showed initiative in disclosing their activities, the winners of the Media Competition held in the end of 2016.
KASE annually gives awards to the members of the Exchange, who have contributed to the development of the stock market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to the listed companies demonstrating the best examples of business conduct in the securities market in terms of disclosure of their activities.
According to the results of 2016, there were the following awards:
in the nomination "Market Leader"
Freedom Finance (equity market)
BCC Invest – subsidiary of Bank CenterCredit (corporate bond market)
Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan (government securities market)
in the nomination "Underwriter of the Year"
Freedom Finance (equity market)
Kazkommerz Securities (a subsidiary of Kazkommerzbank) (corporate bond market)
in the nomination "Market Maker of the Year"
Freedom Finance (equity market)
BCC Invest – subsidiary of Bank CenterCredit (corporate bond market)
Subsidiary Organization of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan Halyk Finance (corporate bond market)
KASE Management Board also awarded Freedom Finance with a diploma for significant contribution to attracting investors.
Listed companies that demonstrated the best examples of business conduct in the securities market in 2016, in terms of disclosure of information about their activities were awarded diplomas "For the Pursuit of Transparency."

ATFBank
Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan
Non-financial companies
KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC
KAZ Minerals PLС.
On February 15, 2017, the results were also summed up and the winners of the Media Competition were awarded. The competition was held from October 1 to December 30, 2016. The theme of this competition is "The Stock Market of Kazakhstan and New Opportunities for Domestic Companies".

in the nomination "The Best TV Report or the Best TV Program"
Asylbek Abdulov with the TV project "New Deal"
in the nomination "The Best Article in Printed Media"
Vladimir Buryanov from the Aktobe Vestnik with the article "Alternative to Loans"
in the nomination "The Best Material on Internet Resources"
Tatiana Batishcheva for the articles "Better to take loan at home" and "Investors traded banks for KASE."
According to the decision of the jury, the following people received additional awards
Irina Yarunina (LS Internet portal) – for consistent coverage of the stock market themes
Yerbolat Mukhamedzhan (TV program The Exchange, the Atameken Business Channel) - for a TV show about the stock market in the state language.
