On October 17-18, in Almaty was Held the Workshop to Discuss New Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Regulating the Financial Market

(KAR) and the Information Agency of Financial Markets IRBIS implemented the workshop - working meeting, devoted to discussion of four new laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, issued during the current year:

• "On Joint Stock Companies",
• "On Securities Market",
• "On Government Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations",
• "On Introduction of Changes and Amendments into some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Organization of the Single System of Government Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations".

The workshop was held on October 17-18, 2003, at the Almaty Sanatorium (area of the Cooperation Vocational School). This event was aimed at speeding up of the mentioned laws implementation, correct interpretation of their provisions, settlement of some disputable issues and development of recommendations for adoption of additional legislative acts. During the workshop were discussed issued arose in interested persons due to the mentioned laws issue with participation of managing employees and specialists of the national Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

• Deputy Chairman of Managing Board A. G. Saidenov;
• Deputy Director of Legal Department M. B. Baisynova;
• Head of Division of Legal Department N. Y. Maksimova;
• Deputy Head of Division of Supervision Methodology of Department for Financial Supervision L. E. Usenbekova;
• Chief Specialist of Division of Licensing of Department for Financial Supervision A. A. Tamaeva;
• Head of Division of Serial Securities Regulation and Circulation A. J. Nazhimedenova.

The event was organized for representatives of professional market participants and joint stock companies.
